Custom Closets in Sunrise, FL
A City From the Seventies and Eighties
The 1970s were the busiest building decade in Sunrise: a third of all the homes in the city went up in those ten years, and more than a quarter in the 1980s. Six out of ten homes here are from those two decades.
Seven out of ten homes are lived in by their owners, in houses, townhomes and condo communities. After forty or fifty years, the original closets are usually the part of the house that has changed the least.
A Recent Sunrise Project: Three Closets in One House
In Sunrise we rebuilt three closets in the same home: the primary closet, a daughter’s room and the guest room.
The primary closet got four soft-close drawers, black oval rods and black handles against white panels, with flat molding at the top and the bottom so it looks built in. The daughter’s closet got hanging and adjustable shelving at a height she can use, and the guest closet got open shelving.
Three rooms, one design visit, one finish across the house.
What We Build in Sunrise
Primary Walk-Ins
Double hanging, long hanging, drawers inside the closet and shelving to the ceiling, designed around what you actually own.
Kids’ Rooms and Guest Rooms
A rod set for adult clothes wastes most of a kid’s closet. We set the hanging and the shelves for the person who uses it, and make them adjustable for when they grow.
Reach-Ins in Older Homes
The original reach-in, rebuilt from the inside in the same opening. No walls move and no permit is needed.
Laundry, Pantry and Garage
Cabinets above the machines, pantry shelving that goes all the way up, and wall storage in the garage, designed in the same visit as the closets.
Hablamos Español
About a third of the people in Sunrise speak Spanish at home. So do we: the design visit, the drawings, the contract and the install, all in Spanish if that is what you prefer.
